The awesome sideways ship launches take place in Leer, Germany and Westerbroek, The Netherlands. The biggest ship in this video was launched in Flensburg, Germany. I know that place from the first few launches, I boat there often. It's very cool to see how these ships evolve from just small pieces to one large tanker. 3:09 hearing the warning horns morph into a lovely Ab major chord was very gratifying. All ships should be launched with such a mellifluous noise.
