I suspect that this system will make it difficult for the farmer to improve his profitability until numerous 3rd-party implement manufacturers develop alternative thrashing heads, seed drills, cultivators, sprayers, etc. to attach to the basic NEXAT tractor system. There has to be competition among equipment manufacturers in order to get the sale price (cost) down. Competition is considerable (among equipment manufacturers) of standard tractors, pull-behind implements, and combine harvesters because many different brands and models can be mixed and matched so easily. A farmer does not want to work himself into a corner where he is completely dependent upon any manufacturer (like NEXAT) to provide all of his equipment. That is a very risky position to be in. What if NEXAT charges too much for its machines because they know that the farmer has to buy from them? What if NEXAT has financial problems and either goes out of business or reduces their offering of available implements.
