Hello; The Bodewes Shipyard always launches ships that way. The water always crosses the road. In videos of other launches from that shipyard, you can see people standing around an imaginary line where the water doesn't reach. There are rules regarding a boat launch. You never, ever allow someone on the boat while it launches or gets hauled out. Whoever allowed 6 people on that blue yacht was incredibly irresponsible. And little known fact that the boat builder owns the boat until it's in the water and they take it for a test run. Once it's deemed safe, ownership is transferred to the new buyer. At 2:08  That Dutch launch didn't go wrong - it went perfectly. Every time you launch a ship you get a displacement wave. That's why the traffic was stopped and there's a drainage ditch on the far side of the road. Less than a minute after launch the road was open again. No problems - everything went according to plan.
