A Day in Life of US Super Advanced Amphibious Ships Patrolling the Sea

Welcome back to the our channel for a feature on the life inside U.S. advanced amphibious ships operating on the main seas of the world. I think these type of ship will become more important than they are now.  The large landing platform, the well deck, and large storage will allow this ship to take on many roles in the future and not just amphibious duties.  It can serve as a drone mother ship,.  It can serve as missile platform and of course, it can serve as emergency landing deck for F35B (if they reinforce the landing platform to handle the jet exhaust). I served on the USS Anchorage (LSD-36) from 76-80. She's at the bottom of the Pacific now. They were a lot different then. I was a BT. It was good duty 2 1/2 WesPac cruises. These men and women have sacrificed their lives in sometimes bitter frightening scenarios while I sit in the AC and watch them on. I do feel a bit selfish and self-centered suddenly.
