The truck in this episode was bought new for my family’s company, Arkansas Machine Specialty and Truck Repair Company in 1947. It served the Hope, Arkansas company until it was sold in the 1970’s. Imagine my surprise to see the truck being rescued in East Texas. I enjoyed driving that truck in the 1960’s and 1970’s. When I saw the Dodge tail gate with the Arkansas tag it instantly grabbed my attention! Real hard when an owner isn't ready to sell, especially when sometimes they'll let it sit and decay for another 10 years. I've been there and it's tough to watch. Keeping these old vehicles alive is one of the only ways we pass on this mechanical knowledge that is dwindling. Looking forward to seeing more about this old truck. Pretty decent condition it seems to be in considering where it was and how long it looks to've been in that spot (since the early 90s in the least I'd say). I'm kinda hoping the owners will either let you guys buy it or be willing to let y'all get it running and somewhat drivable.
