Amazing! There was a time where all this was done using human man power only! Can you imagine the amount of work! First tree shear I saw was in 1967. The style of stacker in the mill for the dry kiln was first used in 1938. The whole mill has been outdated since the 1980s I think the most"innovative" piece of equipment was the tub grinder which has been around at least 40 years. Machinery like this proves my point that just because a machine is older doesn’t mean that it’s useless. That crab claw shear must have insane amounts of pressure applied to easily slice through the base like that. Here the trees are from farms that are meant to grow trees for woods (except first clip) most of the clips are not of forest clearing. There is a difference between deforestation and cutting trees. Truly breathtaking. Also for our climate. It takes 150 years until a tree becomes so big to absorbe many tons of CO2 as This one did! It‘s greed which will kill us.
