Welcome back to the our Channel. In this episode, we will explore the incredible capabilities and operations of the go-to cargo aircraft of the US Air Force, the C-17 Globemaster III. I live in IPSWICH Queensland Australia which is alongside Amberley RAAF base. We often have C-17 flying around the city up to 2230hrs At about a 1,000 feet. It’s not enjoyable one little bit, when we had the F-111s here they were very quiet and no night flights. A lot of people I know who are into Aviation think it would be great to live near here but when you explain the flying hours and the low height they change their minds. When the c-141 came out it was the most advanced cargo plane, when the c-5 came out it was the most advanced. It only goes to reason that the c-17 would be the most advanced cargo plane. A truely amazing aircraft for it's mission and thanks for the video. Descrbing the maximum take off weight of 265,352 kilos (585,000 pounds) as "jaw dropping" seems like an overreach. The MTOW of the A380 for example is over twice as heavy at 575,156 kilos (1.268,000 pounds)
