Hello; For some people a long shifter is more comfortable. You also get more leverage on your shift throw which helps to feel your way into the gear better. Like motorcyclists with ape hanger handle bars, its all in what you want and what's comfortable for the driver. To have the ability to manage and keep that beast under control along with dealing with stupid drivers takes incredible skill and patience. And you have to roll through all those gears! I really like the simplicity of your videos. There is actually one more gear he could have used. A lot of people don’t know it’s there though. Once he goes into the high side he could have pulled it against his leg where first would be. It’s mainly for turning off at low speeds so you don’t have to go back into the low side. The gear ratio doesn’t really match up from a dead stop acceleration but when you can use it that man pulls pretty damn hard.
