I'd love for Elon to explain how creating his battery and disposing of them is more environmentally friendly than fuel. Not only do you have to strip mine the planet to get the materials needed to make the battery, you the creation of them is harmful to the environment. Then you have to recycle or dispose of the battery which is extremely harmful to the environment. Batteries don't last forever. I give Elon credit for telling the world especially Europe and the US they need to build nuclear plants and drill because he knows green energy isn't even close to sustaining needs. To bad the people that deems him a God refuse to listen to him. They talk like the planet can be 100% "green" tomorrow when the infrastructure isn't even remotely close for EV to fully replace ICE. I'm not a EV hater, I actually researched purchasing EV and found its not remotely close to being there for my needs. Most charging stations I've seen had max of 6 chargers and the majority of 4. When 2 or more EV's are charging at the same time it takes longer for all to charge. If even 20% of the vehicles were EV with the infrastructure today you would have a good chance rolling into a charging station to find it full and you may be waiting hours in line to even reach a charger. And there is WIDE gaps across the country where stations do not even exist yet. Want to see "green" energy fail and people left freezing? Look at Texas. I'm not against "green" or EV. But right now "green" energy can't even sustain itself without massive subsidies. If it was left to individual investment there wouldn't be wind turbines all over the country because individual investment demands results and profits. Government subsidies are probably slowing R&D if anything because they have no need to push when there is a never ending gravy train. Perfect example, look at Tesla cars when subsidized then look at progress with no subsidies. Elon is on it, give him time. But for God sake listen to the man he is saying its not there yet.
