Hello; WOW I didn't know that it snowed in Japan! I don't know what to think about all that snow. I've never seen anything like that. I wouldn't want to live there. When it starts to snow I'd be petrified. Probably most of you guys don't know Japan is one of the places gets snow most in the world. The cold wind from north absorbs tons of moisture from the sea of Japan and it hits to mountains.
The pacific side, instead, gets dry and cold wind from the mountains. This is one of the reason why Tokyo and Osaka are the big two cities in Japan. Northern Japan's Mountains get some of the Highest Snowfalls in any one year then anyplace in the world. Mt. Baker in Washington State and Mt, Rainier might get more total snow in some years but the total on the ground at the end of March in some years looks like Japan is the winner.
