Experts Rescue WW2 Tank From a River - Will a WW2 Tank Run?

Tanks have a rich history dating back to the IWW and have undergone significant changes. Today, they are recognized as a formidable war machine, and their design has even been replicated on a smaller scale. I am always amazed at the condition of the armored vehicles pulled out of the lakes/swamps. The ph of the soil must be just right to keep items from severe rust. The self propelled gun starting and moving is incredible. (As are the men getting it to run again after all that time.) I do wonder every time, how did the tanks get in the lakes/swamps? I had watched both of these videos several years ago, but it was very nice to listen to it dubbed in a little English. I think it’s wonderful that these men take pride in recovering these tanks, which are part of their Russian history. It is also exciting to watch. That's insane the tank at the end you guys get running and driving and how much is this worth a complete tank from ww2. It’s amazing how well preserved that stuff is. Just like the day it was when they sunk it. They did that at times to keep their weapons from falling into enemy hands.
