This must have been Amazing in person. The Logistics of Transporting this truly World Class Vessel and its equally World Class ride across the German country lanes is beyond impressive. It’s actually bigger than I thought. I know it did a lot of damage in WW2. Amazing history piece. Germany being stationed there many years ago you truly have awesome people.  Thank you for my time there. Just another American GI. The Type 206A was the result of the work begun on the Type XXIII which was derived from the Type XXI Elektro-Boot. The initial Type 201 series was not successful but did lead to follow-on classes of diesel-electric powered attack submarines.   Dr. Ulrich Gabler has written extensively on the development of the postwar submarine classes. People are standing way too close, and too dense. If the sub would tip over, many could not flee.
