Hello; My amazement for aircraft carriers are past, present, and future. However, modern warfare now necessitates that aircraft carriers be smaller, faster, and still potent. Quantity over quality is now the norm. For one, maintaining a very huge carrier is very difficult, expensive and impractical. A swarm of smaller enemy carriers with smaller and faster killer subs can now easily sink a huge Nimitz-class carrier. It's like an army of ants killing a huge centipede or a big, fully armored crab. Designing a tow-able barge for additional aircraft storage could be a lucrative idea.
