To work in such a harsh environment. I thought the ocean was rough, now add ice. You guys earn every penny! I suppose we had to have the wind noise. A noise that didn’t change between ships or points of view. I was second engineer onboard tankers for many years and left to oil and gas engineering, I enjoyed this new career. I consider years spent in marine was big mistake & would not encourage young people to follow this career.
