Welcome back to the our channel for a feature on how does working on a giant oil tanker looks like, from the loading process to the refueling of military ships at sea. Currently, giant tankers can travel at a maximum speed of 16 knots. Unbelieveable. Fossil fuels keep billions of people fed, clothed, sheltered, cooled and warm twenty four seven three hundred and sixty five days a year. My Dad worked on oil and gas carriers/tankers all his career. He was an Chief Engineer on the engine room side, very hard and dangerous field to work in and the risk of capsizing is huge. Saw the world though which is more than I have. My dad is a captain on these type of massive tanker ships, he currently sails on the “FELI CITY” tanker ship, feli city is the name of the ship, he’s been the captain for almost 3 years, and he’s been a seafarer for almost 12 years now.
