Welcome back to the another video for a feature on the B-1B Lancer,an aircraft first initiated in 1955, and only went into production in 1982 after numerous engineering and political setbacks. The B1-B is (besides the B2) one of the coolest looking aircrafts IMHO. It was displayed at the ILA Airshow in Germany some years ago (2010 iirc), I still remember the massive sound and look when it did a low pass almost above our heads. Would love to have this one as a RC model, unfortunaly I am not skilled enough to build such from scratch. B-52 frontal RCS of 100 meters square, B-1A=10m2, B1-B=1 square meter, F-117=0.001 to 0.01 F-22/B2=0.0001(marble) and the B-21 will be a mosquito 0.000001m2 or virtually invisible to certain frequencies. There were 2 B1-Bs loitering around for a local airshow last Summer. Just cruising in formation a couple thousand feet above me, such an amazing display of American might. Loud, very loud.
