Cruise ship Disney Wish navigating the Ems river backwards from the shipyard to Eemshaven, the Netherlands. The float out took place on February 11, 2022 and the conveyance over the tiny Ems river on March 30, 2022. The Disney Wish is 341 m long, 41 m wide and has a Gross-Tonnage of 135.000 gt. She is the first ship of the new Triton class. Great video. That said the ship looks horrible. I can't believe people want to go on cruises with these vessels where it is clear that they just try to squeeze as many rooms and people in as possible. Ship building, atleast astetically, has really took a turn for the worse in the last 50 years. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but not the worst, cruise ships kinda look like bath tubs now but look gorgeous. That looks so cool going backwards but does it go forward? I just wonder how much propane is that going to go through. It just seams like there should be more life boats. Yet another top heavy cruise liner. A naval architect tried to take the cruise liners to court for operating unsafe vessels after the Costa Concordia disaster. He was completely hushed up due to the amount of money the industry would have had to pay out to re-equip their fleets. This didn’t change the evidence he had of top heavy dangerous design, yet the industry continues until the next tragedy. If the Costa Concordia hadn’t been blown onto the rocks of Gilio Island as she capsized she would have gone turtle and 4000 people would have died.
