I think you're right about planes and copters starting at the same time. I sure there was a copter filming overhead while the Wright brothers were making their first flight at Kitty Hawk. "Helicopters were invented around the same time as the airplane. The US Coast Guard was good to me, enjoyed my career in aviation. Quality of life, extremely HIGH. I was even able to finish the last 7 years of my career in my home town. Yep, it was fun.
