Super Complex US C-5 Galaxy's 28-Wheel Landing Gear in Action

Welcome back to our channel for a feature on the capabilities and functions of the landing gear on some the US Air Forces largest transport planes. I loved the compilation of military assets in this video.  I've always been impressed with the complex engineering of the bogey landing gear on that C5.  The video with the F-16s appears to have been filmed at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, AK.  I could be wrong.  My Dad was stationed there right after WWII with its complement of P-47s, P-51s, and B-25s back in the day. Being American, it makes me soooo proud to see so many turning out just to see an American Air Force heavy lifter taking off from an airport they're usually not seen at. This was a frequent sound when I was growing up but never  got tired of it. I would scramble out of the house like a scalded cat to catch a glimpse as they flew over on test flights after being manufactured. Truly the good old days.
