Welcome back to our channel for a feature on the clever modular system engineered to transform a C-130 Hercules transport plane into an airborne fire fighting system to assist in controlling wildfires throughout the US. With the technology the military has had for years of low level flight at night. That technology should have been in fire fighting planes years ago. It's very sad to see the amount of fires and the size of all the fires in the past 15 years in Americas wild wild west! Years ago you would have a few big fires every few years. Hand crews in steep terrain will not put out fast moving fires. You need to send large groups of aircraft on remote fires asap, common sense! 'd love to see an Amphibious Super Scooper version of the C-130J, like the Bombardier water bombers. Imagine how quickly they could load up 5,000 gallons of water, and get it on site.
