The Crazy Process of Scraping Paint on World Largest Aircraft

Welcome back to the our channel for a discussion about how commercial and military planes are painted, decorated, and restored. Paint adds a lot of weight to an airplane, especially the big aircraft. I read somewhere that years ago American Airlines used minimal paint and kept the silver finish with just a preserving finish, saving lots of weight. So unfocused. Why talk about the tug at all? And the history of paint could have been skipped or just stated why.  This was not up to your normal standards. The colors make that plane look like the world’s largest bomb pop / popsicle. Interesting to know structural integrity is preserved as well as getting a new paint job.
