Welcome back to the our channel for details on the insane evolution of the most feared supersonic bomber ever made: the B-1 Lancer. I'm sitting here astonished that I help make some of the blades and such that go into these various jet engines, that have been around for so long and done so much. off the top of my head, from recent research, I've worked on parts for F-15s, F16's, the X47B drones, hovercraft, warships, F-35's, hydrofoils, fast ferries, commercial airliners and business jets, sikorsky and bell helicopters, etc. I'm trying to learn more about the products that I help make, because I love aerospace! What I find really amazing is the fact that the SR71 blackbird was designed and built without the use of a single computer. Decades and decades ahead of its time! It also had terrible maneuverability at high speed and had the habit of literally flipping nose over tail when try to maneuver at speed. It was literally just a really fast plane that’s it. It’s ancient technology compared to anything we have today. It’s no accident that the B1 bears a passing resemblance to the Concord. Some of the same principles were applied to the B1.
