While size does matter, it is not necessarily always a measure of aviation power. However, this did not stop gifted engineers, who have, for decades now, been designing vehicles of such magnitude that their very ability to leave the ground was already impressive. Today we are going to take a look at 10 of the largest planes, all with their own unique story. The criteria I use is reliability, historical performance, multi-use adaptability, and biggest bang for the buck. So far, my picks are the B-52, and the C-130. The Antonov behemoth has proven to carry incredible payloads, although I imagine the shipping costs are astronomical! I am just amazed by the size of the Antonov 225. Which untill now, no one had ever dared to break it's record for it's sheer size. I just wonder why the Antonov designers did not made more models with the same size for commercial flight purposes. The b52 stratofortress has always been my sentimental pick and the gentle giant Antinov-124, which was horribly destroyed by Russian forces recently.
