In 2011, the YAMAL all-terrain vehicle participated in the Tsentr-2011 tactical exercises held in Russia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The exercises were led by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General Nikolai Makarov, and former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
