Jet fuel is far from being the most hazardous and flammable chemical known to man. Gasoline in your car is much more flammable. Gasolines flash point is - 42 deg. C where JP4 is -18 deg C There are many other chemical materials that are more volatile. If you consider Mil -T 38219, or Jet Propellent 7 JP 7 used in the SR-71. this fuel had to be heated to 60 deg C, 140 deg. F before it could burn in the engine . And this was on one of the most powerful planes in the world. JP -7 could be considered a low grade fire extinguisher.
