Yes, a farm tractor most likely would be able to pull a tank. The tractor's treads are made for gaining a lot of traction in soft soil, while the tank's are made for more solid surfaces. Came down to the tread contact area. On a street surface the outcome might have been reversed especially if the tank weighs more than that tractor. Not obvious if it does partly since tractors often come with forward counterweights. I really want to see this done with a M88A1. I drove those for many years in the Army. I loved it every moment. The biggest difference is that a Tractor is made to pull things, while a Tank, or on this case a Tank Destroyer is made to move itself through rough terrain. Just think about how most Tanks are designed for their own weight, no major excess weight. Not much of a contest. It's all about traction. They both have enough weight and power so whoever has the best treads wins.
