Welcome back to our channel for a feature on how quickly it takes ground crews and pilots to get F/A-18 Hornet's airborne during an alert scramble exercise. If anyone ever gets the chance, they have an early "A" version of the Legacy Hornet at the aircraft hanger display at the USS Alabama Battleship Mobile Bay, AL. First time I ever heard an F-18 referred to as “massive”! It’s no larger than an F-15, and they’re not massive. It’s a fighter jet, for Pete’s sake! B-52s are massive; C-130s are massive; C-5As are massive; F18s, not by a wide margin! The military took the design of the Endeavor and made it smaller. Now it's an unmanned space shuttle capable of stealing Russian or Chinese satellites.
