Welcome back to the our channel for a discussion about the US Marine’s amphibious assault vehicles, including their unique designs, capabilities, and strengths. As good as LCAC's are at moving and maneuvering quickly, loading and unloading takes a lot of time, because so much tie down equipment is needed to keep the cargo/ vehicles from shifting. It can take as much a 30 minutes to offload upon landing. Bigger combat vehicle, bigger target. Always keep as, much distance from armored vehicles as possible and when possible. Bullet magnets. Been on a few of those Lcac's. The ship in the beginning with the big 2 was the Essex. Also rode in a couple of those aav's. I remember going out the back of the ship. It scared the living day lights out me. It felt like we were sinking. Sooo, it is not very maneuverable in the water, it can not cary much and it as just as bad on land?
