Welcome back to the our channel for a feature on the dangerous operation of anchoring the Aircraft Carriers as the steel chain links and the heavy anchor moves at a fast speed when released. Washing the anchor chain is not about to avoid the corrotion but to wash away mud stuck along the chain. Because mud will increase weight inside the chain locker. I would think using the ship's depth sensor would be a more accurate and much easier method for gauging the depth of water than a guy looking out a window, and guessing. Would it be interesting is to know if one of those links snapped when pulling up the anchor. Man that would be a frightening and dangerous spectacle with the tremendous Force upon it. The size of the chain is absolutely ridiculous! Why are there so many people? Does everyone have a specific job while the anchor is being dropped? This is so amazing to watch. The people on the ship have different colors kask, I assume each has a different responsibility?
