Welcome back to the our channel for a discussion on the A-10 Thunderbolt II its capabilities and the intense training the A-10's pilots need to undergo to fly this living legend aircraft. The trusty aircraft that comes in at a time of great need. No aircraft is as tough, simple, and maneuverable at low altitude as the A-10. It is the best aircraft for what it was designed to do. The A-29 is a fantastic alternative... but without that iconic gun. It's just not the same. With so many multi-role aircraft out there. It's cool to see an aircraft built for one role and one role only. Close-air support. I am surprised you don’t see too many countries purchasing or trying to purchase this plane. I mean let’s be honest it’s a badass aircraft you don’t want to be on the wrong side of unless you hate your own guts that much. And when it comes to an effective bomber or close air support aircraft wouldn’t you want a plane like this? As an Air Force fighter pilot, the propeller driven A-29 crop duster, is never going to replace the A-10 Thunderbolt 2!
