Welcome back to the our channel for a discussion about how billion-dollar ships are destroyed in order to provide training for Naval crews. If you are a Navy veteran and one of the ships you served on is a target, it's not a good day. I served on 3 ships in 23 years. The first CG-5 was sunk in war games. The second had the best end it became a museum, CV equal to 41. The third CV 63 went to Brownsville and was scrapped. Only hope she did not finish her journey in a Chinese ship. The Oliver Hazard Perry class took a few Harpoons, Hellfires aswell a 127mm rnds before she went down, as a frigate from late 60's to early 70's design and is less then 5000t when loaded, and no ship can take the blow of a Torpedo exploding under the ships spin it breaks there backs and sends them straight to the bottom.
