Hello; Definitely, much more cost effective,for the main contractor,and the manufacturer,to produce lighter pieces. Then they don't need very heavy, dangerous cranes, that spend a lot of time, waiting for the right weather conditions, lots of trucks, to trans port crane pieces, other cranes, and, time to build the big crane. Also, less ground preparation. Not much need for mobile cranes, with over a 900 ton capacity.
